Threats towards Medias are injustice – Ranil

Opposition party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe stated, the threats towards medias given by Military Media spokesman is injustice.   He pointed out  Sarath Fonseka, Commanders of  the Three forces, Military Spokesman Udaya Nanayakara including many could contest the Presidential election, which could  be commented in medias, but such issues cannot be branded as illegal acts was stated by him. 

He questioned a person is contesting the Presidential election, and the media which has quoted this, how could someone say that, this particular media has violated the 120th offense act. Ranil pointed out more than the emergency laws, Sri Lanka’s political constitution should be respected. Such statements were stated by him while he attended a special media briefing held at Cambridge Terrace today.

Opposition leader said military soldiers were permitted to enter politics by Defense Secretary Gothabaya Rajapakse hence he should be charged legal action. He said the name “Fonseka” has become much alarming to the government.
