Case file against wife of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra

Colombo additional magistrate Praharsha Ranasinghe has ordered Borella police to inform her on July 04 whether a case can be filed against the wife of slain presidential advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra over a charge of taking the law into her hands and constructing a building on a state land.
A lawyer, Niroshana Perera, today (June 26) made the request pursuant to a complaint lodged by Sumana Premachandra against one Dhammika Siriwardena of having damaged a wall erected around a land adjacent to a building near Kanatte Junction.
The lawyer told the court that the land in question belonged to the UDA, and an inquiry should be held against Mrs. Premachandra for having constructed a building on state land without authorization.
