President present at the development committee meeting for the Vavuniya and Mannar districts held at the Vavuniya district. None of the officials was present to inform about problems of people in the district.
President headed the meeting. Several ministers were also present at this meeting.
However officials fail to speak about problems of people in these districts. Official paid attention on resettlement and road development activities in the district.
They also fails to discuss on Mannar courts attack and attacks against Muslim people at Sannar village.
Officials also fail to discuss on lack of facilities faced by the resettled people in the province.
Deputy leader of the Vavuniya Municipal council M.M.Rathan stated by lighting lamps in the Wellamulliwaikal and Karaiyan Mulliwaikal people paid their respect to civilians killed in the final stage of war in year 2009. [More]
