Act against roaming open warrant criminals: D.E.W.Gunasekera

Human Resources Senior Minister D.E.W.Gunasekera said that Parliament must take an action against open warrant criminals who move around freely in society.
As this situation violates the authority of the law in the country, Parliament must take relevant action and inform the Chief justice and IGP accordingly, he said participating in the condolence vote of former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra in parliament yesterday (July 22).
Parliament must take serious notice and consider the statements made by judges in courts that open warrant criminals are evading arrest, he added.
