The suspect surrendered to Kotahena Police through an attorney, police headquarters stated.
He did not possess a driver’s license while police inquiries had revealed that the vehicle involved in the accident was a rental vehicle.
Therefore legal action is to be taken against the owner of the vehicle for renting a vehicle to an individual who does not possess a valid driver’s license, police said.
