Two females arrested following Maldivian’​s death

Slave Island Police has arrested two females on suspicion over the death of a Maldivian national at a five star hotel in Colombo.

The arrested women are residents of Wariyapola and Badulla.

The postmortem examination on the Maldivian’s body is to be conducted today (15), to determine whether the death was a suicide or otherwise.

Slave Island Police said if it is uncovered that the cause of death was suicide the arrested females will be released and if its proven that any foul play was involved, further investigations will continue.

The Maldivian national had died after falling out of the 18th floor of a five star hotel in Colombo yesterday morning.

It was revealed these two suspects were sexual workers.
