The police had visited the home of Lalith on Tuesday (11) according to a warrant issued for arrest in a case at the Polonnaruwa Courts.
Lalith Kumar Weeraraj and Kugan Muruganandan, coordinator of the Movement for People’s Struggles (Jana Aragala Wiyaparaya), were abducted from Jaffna when they were organizing a protest in connection with International Human Right Day. Consequently there were several protests in the country against the enforced disappearance as well as recourse to legal action.
However the defense authorities have yet been unable to find any information regarding the disappearance of he activists. |
