Pillaiyan to be the next CM of Eastern Province

Once again government decided to appoint former eastern provincial council chief minister Sevanesathurai Chandrakanthan has the next chief minister of the province, sources said.

Political parties contest in the eastern provincial council fails to receive majority votes in the province. With the support of the National Freedom United People Freedom Alliance won 15 seats in the proince.

Tamil National Alliance and the United National party own 15 seats in the province. In such situation both parties need the support of SriLanka Muslim Congress which won 7 seats in the province.

Proposal submitted by the SLMC towards government has urged the CM post to their party. However Lankan government fails to make response to the demand of the SLMC.Government announced as soon as possible they would announce the names Chief Ministers for the three provincial councils of the country.

Lankan government decided to appoint Sevanesathurai Chandrakanthan has next CM of the eastern province and also decided to appoint two members form the SLMC towards bonus seats win by the United People Freedom Alliance.

Commenting on this issue deputy leader of the SriLanka Muslim Congress Habis Ahamad Nazeer went on to say we always in the stance to get CM post to our party and we never implement changes in our stance. Anyhow Lankan government fails to announce its stance on this issue.
