Hanny Megally, Chief, Asian Pacific and Middle East and North African branch and the Oscare Solers , Human rights officer ,Rule of Law and Democracy and two other UN representatives visited Killinochchie district yesterday.
UN delegates met Killinochchie district government agent Mrs.Rupawathi Ketheswaran and the distrct army commander Major.Udhaya Perera at the district secretary.
During the time of discussion delegates question about the situation end of war, resettlement activities and demining activities in the district, government agent said.
Delegates monitored the “Divineguma “ development programme at the Kanagarayan pond and also the demining activities in the Putukudiiruppu areas. |
