[ Saturday, 18 August 2012, 04:19.40 PM GMT +05:30 ]
Geneva resolution stress to grant political solution which includes more powers for Tamil people, however at present Lankan government not prepared to grant also solution for Tamil people of this country said R.Sambanthan leader of the Tamil National Alliance.

Addressing an election conversing held at Chittandi Murugan kovil premises leader went on to say,

At present ministers of the Lankan government announced and work hard to capture eastern provincial council which would help them to defeat international pressures made against the since end of the Geneva resolution.

Tamil people should not allow them achieve victory. People in the eastern province currently in a position to make decision this regard. Are you all are going to allow them to achieve victory in the election? Or hoping to discourage the international support on Tamil people in the country?

International community monitoring whether our people still interested to establish own ruling in their own soil?.

95% of Tamil people would cast their votes towards Tamil National Alliance they would be able to win their ruling and achieve victory in their fight on freedom and rights. This victory would once again prove international community and Lankan government how much Tamil people were involved in their freedom struggle.

For the past 60 years Tamil people are fighting for their freedom and rights.

In such situation decision taken by the Tamil people in the upcoming election would be another turning point in this country.

Tamil people always hope for permanent political solution for ethnic issue of their problems.

International community also makes pressure this regard. Decision of Tamil people should not discourage the expectation of international community.

It’s our responsibility to make correct decision on this issue. People should not support the activities of the government which hopes to violate the democratic rights in the country.

We are following the foot path of Tamil Arasu Katchi leader Father Selva. In this journey we hope for permanent political solution.

Report of LLRC commission stressed to grant political solution with more powers. Geneva resolution was also in the equal stance. Lankan government needs to submit a proposal on implementing LLRC recommendations in the country.

Majority of seats of the eastern provincial council need to be winning in the Batticaloa and Trincomalee districts. By winning majority of seats we would be able to own more power in the district. It would also help us to send strong message towards international community. This was the only solution.

Tamil Arasu Katchi senior candidate advocate K.Thurairajasingham, parliamentarian Mawai Senathiraja, Selvam Adaikalanathan, Pone Selvarasa, C.Yogeswaran ,P.Ariyanendirana and several other party members were also present at this meeting.
