Navy arrests 47 attempting to migrate to Australia

Sri Lanka Navy has arrested 47 persons attempting to illegally migrate to Australia.
Navy Spokesman said that 28 asylum seekers were arrested in waters off Modara last night while the other 19 were arrested in Negombo while waiting to board an Australia-bound boat.
The individuals arrested traveling by boat were escorted to the Modara fishing harbor this morning, Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya said.
