The Minister of Resettlement Gunaratne Weerakone announced group of displaced people currently residing in the Vavuniya Chettikulam IDP camp schedule to resettle in the own lands today.
69 individuals from 19 families schedule to resettle at the Thirumurkandi area today.
Minister stated they have taken steps to resettle people according to their own wish.
Minister also stated land mines were evacuated from this area and officials have prove the security of the resettle people. Steps would be taken to provide dry rations for six months and drinking water for these people.
