Special discussion between Thondaman and Mano Ganesan
[ Friday, 13 July 2012, 01:18.38 PM GMT +05:30 ]

Special discussion held between Minister Thondaman and Democratic National Alliance leader Mano Ganesan this morning.

This urgent discussion held to save Tamil votes in the Sabragamuwa province.

Responding to the media general secretary of the Democratic People’s Front Nalliya Gurubaran went on to say,

Tamil representations to be prove in the North- East, hill country and other districts of the island.

Especially in the Rantnapura and Kegalle districts where Tamil people live has minority community. We were able to receive 15,000-20,000 thousand votes from these districts.

Our party is a most important Tamil political which lead by the Mano Ganesan. Minister Arumugam Thondaman is a most popular cabinet minister.

We strongly take over alterative political stance and also decided to submit common candidate list for districts where Tamil people live as minority community people.

Through this we hope to save the valuable votes of Tamil people and also it would help to prove Tamil representations in these districts.

On the same basis Tamil National Alliance and the SriLanka Muslim Congress hold discussions to save the votes of Tamil people in the Eastern province but unfortunately they were unable to take proper decision this regard.

However we were able to achieve victory. Our party is a grate example for other political parties which representate Tamil people in the Southern part of SriLanka.

Upcountry People’s Front also agreed this regard and decided to contest under cock symbol.

Workers National Front lead by the Thigambaram refused to agree with us. However they strongly support our policy said the Guruparan.
