Tamil National People's Front hold successful protest

Tamil National People’s Front holds successful protest against murder of Tamil political prisoners and land accusation in the Northern part of the country.
Protest stage at 11.00 am last morning at Neliyadi bus halt. Around 200 people gathered and stage protest against land acquisition and death of political prisoners in the country.
This protest was lead by the Kajendrakumar Ponnambalam. Parliamentarian C.Sridharan, former parliamentarian Kajendiran, Pathmini Sidhambaranathan and several others were also present at the protest.
Army together with police took various stapes to cause disturbance to the protest. Two members from the army intelligence unit arrived in the motorbike raise LTTE flag and cause tense situation in the area. Police officials fails to take action against this incident.
An exhibition in Melbourne, detailing the Tamil genocide, was attended by over one hundred people. This exhibition commenced at Collingwood Gallery, 292 Smith Street, Collingwood, VIC at 2.00m and organized by the Tamil Regugee Council. [More]
