Responding to the questions raised by the journalist in Colombo this afternoon Minister G.L.Peries went on to say,
We are holding investigations on media reports which says that SriLanka has received invitation to take part in the UN Human Rights Council session.
We did not receive any official invitations from the Geneva Human Rights Council.
We have ordered our Geneva ambassador to hold brief investigations this regard and submit a report to us.
Due to this it’s unable to make statement on this issue.
Journalist also questioned did Lankan government hold any diplomatic discussions with Indian government on holding TESO conference in Chennai?
Responding to the quarry minister went on to say we hold discussions with Indian government on TESO conference.
This conference did not organised by the Indian central government or the Tamil Nadu state government. Due to this was not a conference of Indian government. India is also in the same stance said the minister. |
