Man who disturbed first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa suffering from mentally illness

A man has been given bail on a charge of disrturbing first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa in her morning exercises at Galle Face Green.
The suspect, Kasun Udara Sampath, was produced before Colombo Fort magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne today (July 30).
He was arrested by the police on 22nd of July and the Colombo Magistrate courts ordered to remand the suspect till 3rd of August. He was given bail after his lawyer informed the court that the man was receiving treatment for a mental illness.
Naming his mother as a guaranter, the magistrate ordered that he be produced for a psychological examination and a report submitted.
