TNA to meet Menon this afternoon

Indian Defence Advisor Shiv Shnakar Memom made officials visit to SriLanka would hold special discussion with group of TNA parliamentarian head by the R.Sambathan this afternoon.

Special attention would be paid towards political solution and land grabbing issue in SriLanka, sources said. Sambanthan visited Indian for medical treatment returned to the island on Wednesdays.

For the past two days Sambanthan hold discussions with TNA leaders on present political situation of this country and schedule to meet Indian Defence Advisor this afternoon.

During the time of discussion Sambanthan would brief about land garbing carried out by the military personals in the Northern Province, pre- planned Sinhala resettlement in the Tamil areas and also importance of proper political solution for ethnic issue of this country.

It was expected Shiv Shankar Menon will also explain his stance on solving ethnic issue of SriLanka. Menon will meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa today and stress to hold election for the Northern Provincial council.

Source stated due to the land mine evacuation government has decided to hold election for the Northern Provincial council on September 2013.

TNA leader R.Sambanthan would hold discussions with Shiv Shankar Menon on his official visit to Colombo today.

Other members of the Tamil National would not take part in this discussion.

During the time of discussion special attention would be paid towards land garbing programme of present government and delay in the resettlement activities in the country.
