Tamil representation need to be created in the Sabragamuwa province
[ Friday, 29 June 2012, 03:51.39 PM GMT +05:30 ]
Speaking to media Colombo district parliamentarian Praba Ganesan stated by woring according to the proper policy at least we would be able win one Tamil seat from the upcoming election in the Sabragamuwa provincial council.

Speaking this regard MP went on to say,

80 voters in the Ratnapura and Kegalle districts are estate workers. They cast their votes according to the trade unions.

SriLanka Workers Congress own highest number of voters in the Ratnapura and Kegalle districts.

Democratic People Congress own second highest number of voters in the country.20% of people live outside cast their votes according to the own wish.

By ignoring the votes of estate workers it’s unable to win the election. SriLanka workers congress needs to pay special attention towards this issue and need to contest together in the upcoming election.

Hill country political parties need to be united. Representatives of Kandy district need to pay their attention this regard.

Its unable to work united when trade unions and political parties try to get leadership in their alliance.

It’s not necessary to speak about Tamil Eelam among upcountry it would affect the community unity between Sinhala and Tamil people residing these areas.

Recently leader of the SriLanka Workers Congress Minister Muttu Sivalingam also stress this point.

People in the North and East face various difficulties for past 30 years. People in the hill country also face equal problems.

For the past 30 years international and NGO’s paid their special attention towards war zones.

Due to this it’s unable to full fill basic needs such as education, housing and helth needs of upcountry people.

Provincial council representatives would help to uplift these facilities.
