[ Wednesday, 11 July 2012, 02:55.56 AM GMT +05:30 ]
Protest stage in front of the Fort railway station urging justice for the death of Nimalaruban reprted dead during the attack carried out by the prison officials in the Vavuniya prison.

Organization to release political prisoners in SriLankan stage protest in front of the Fort railway station at 2.30pm last afternoon.

At present murder of Nimalaruban created various problems in the Lankan society. Members from the human rights organizations, politicians, public, and several religious leaders were also present at this protest.

Speaking to media organizer of the organization to release political prisoners in SriLanka and the leader of the Democratic National Alliance Mano Ganesan went on to say,

Tami, Muslim, Sinhala community people together with human rights activist raise voice to grant justice for the death of Nimalaruban.

Government murdered the Nimalaruban. At present they tortured Tamil political prisoners detained in the various prisons of the country. Government releases the suspects according to their own wish.

Government which releases the Karuna, Pillaiyan, KP and Thamilini fails to release these political prisoners.

This was the huge mistake of the government and need to make clear response this regard said Mano Ganesan.

Head of the We are SriLankan organization and the human rights activist Udhul Premaratne went on to say,

These prisoners were identified as LTTE suspects. I’m not fear to introduce them self has my brothers.

They have murdered one of my brother named Nimalaruban last week. Nimalaruban reported dead due to the attack carried out by the group of government security officials arrive from the Colombo.

It was not a normal incident. They have killed an arrested a individual while at the prison.

This attack clearly proves that Tamil people in SriLanka do not own any rights in this country and when they raise voice this regard they would be killed or face attacks in this country.

Due to this we urge justice for murdered Nimalaruban and his funeral service should be held in his own village said the Udhul Premaratne.
