This incident occurred at 6.00 am on Thursday morning. Victim is identified has Kumarasuwamy Mankaiyatkarasi (70) resident of Wellawatte area Colombo.
This incident occurred when she visited to her house at her birth place Kopai on 4th of August. She is a mother of four and all her children are residing in foreign countries.
Kopai police recovered the body of the victim according to the information provided by the area resident this morning.
Police recovered a wire from the site and the body has been sent to the Jaffna teaching hospital for postmortem examination. This alleged murder as created tense situation in the Kopai area.
