Government websites blocked by unidentified persons

In the recent past Lankan government blocked Tamil websites in the country and also made threats towards journalists. In such situation migrated people have blocked the websites such as EPDP.net, JVP News.com and SLFOnews.com which publish favorable news about the Lankan government.
Government parties’ stated one individual or groups have individuals engage in this illegal activity.
At present several steps have been taken to block other government websites which operates in the country.
However Lankan government officials surprised over this activity and they were unclear about the purpose of this activity.
