The fishermen were arrested 10 nautical miles from Batticaloa.
Arrested Chinese fishermen were hand over towards Trincomalee police .
Police also recovered two trawler boats from their position.
Navy announced two Lankans were also among the arrest.

China has called on Sri Lanka to release 37 Chinese fishermen detained by the Sri Lankan Navy, China’s Xinhua state news agency reported on Monday.
Sri Lanka’s navy arrested the fishermen on last night aboard two trawlers off the Batticaloa.
The navy arrested them for fishing in Sri Lankan waters, just 10-15 nautical miles east from Batticaloa, and they will be handed over to Trincomalee harbor police for further investigation.
