Army attacks Kovil Iyar at Vadamarach​chie

Army personals allegedly carried out attack against Hindu kovil iyar when he stopped Army personals entering in to kovil with their boots.

This alleged attack carried out on day before yesterday at Ellankulam Aaathiparashkathi kovil in Vadamarachchie.

At present Army personals use this Kovil land has their play ground. On this day Iyar engage in the religious observances.

With the boots Army personal has entered the kovil to collect the ball. On this time Iyar warned the military personal not wear boots inside the kovil.

Several hours later Army commander of the area and several other Army personals arrive to the kovil and made threats and carried out attack against the Iyar.

People arrive the area rushed the Iyar towards hospital, area residents said.

Walwettithurai police officials hold further investigations this regard.
