| Journalists are prohibited to enter Trincomalee hospital |

Government had banned journalists entering Trincomalee hospital, hence the Trincomalee media union is disappointed in the placement of such order, as due to confrontations in the north, patients are brought to the Trincomalee hosptial for treatment. |
Injured people who were affected due to the confrontation in north, were transported to the Trincomalee hospital last 11th, with the assistance of International Red Cross Society, and the prohibition order came into force immediately by the Eastern provincial Governor's secretariat.
Journalist has pointed out in a country where democracy is established, the restiction of journalists entering the Trincomalee general hospital premises is a media suppression and this act has declined fundermental rights of people in collecting and finding information was mentioned by jouranlist union.
On this regard, the Trincomalee jouranlist had sent written documents to Government Information Department, National Defense, Media Central Centre and Opposition party's office was stated |
