 Information states, negotiations were made with the Somalia Sea Pirates in regard to the release the abducted Sri Lankan employees from the Arabian ship. |
| An agreement was made with the Somalia Sea Pirates in regard to the ransom paid for the release of Sri Lankan employees from the said ship. External Affairs Ministry had stated the discussions between the Arabian ship Company and the Insurance Company with the Sea Pirates had turned out to be successful. But the External Minister high officer had mentioned that another two months period will be required to release the said Sri Lankans. Out of the 13 Sri Lankan employees, 8 persons are from Colombo and others are from Jaffna is according to information. |
