 Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake stated emergency regulations will not be utilized to suppress people or Medias. The Sri Lankan government completely denies such accusation was mentioned by him. |
| Some in the basis of self political benefits are publishing such comments, and the action processed by the government is in the intention of the welfare of the people and the country was stated by him. Prime Minister while attended the debate in the parliament in regard to emergency law, stated this. |
