The people living at the Indonesian Merak Port requesting refugee status, have completed their 150 days. On this situation, the Indonesian President Yuthoyeney have gone on a official trip to Australia. |
Many movements continuously insist the Indonesian and Australian governments to conclude the struggle continuing by the refugees for the past 150 days. Information states, 109 Tamil Refugees out of 206 persons have obtained refugee status by the United Nation Refugeeās Embassy. In the event if they are sent to the camps at the Christmas Islands, a strong decision will be met to accept them as refugees, for which there are possibilities, was pointed out by the movements in contacts with the refugees.
The political analysts inform at a situation, when Australian and Indonesian Presidents are engaged in discussion, they would be given importance to their problem. |
